Site Selection and Acquisition

A thorough site selection process was conducted, considering factors such as proximity to raw materials, logistics, and environmental considerations. After coordination with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum careful evaluation, a suitable site was identified and acquired, ensuring optimal conditions for the cement factory's operations. Overall, totally 27.35KM2 has been allocated for this project for which the company will provide lease payment as per agreed protocol with MoMP.

Environmental Impact Assessment

Environmental impact assessments were conducted to evaluate the potential effects of the cement factory on the surrounding ecosystem. Mitigation measures were identified and incorporated into the project design to minimize any adverse environmental impact.

Engineering and Design

A team of experienced engineers and architects has been engaged to develop the detailed engineering and architectural designs for exploration that penlights the capacity for the cement factory. The designs prioritize efficiency, safety, and sustainability, incorporating the latest technological advancements in the cement manufacturing industry. This include development of topographic map

Stakeholder and Local Communities Engagement

Extensive stakeholder engagement has taken place, including consultations with local communities, government agencies, and industry experts. Feedback and suggestions from stakeholders have been considered in the project planning process, ensuring alignment with local needs and regulations.

Requitement of qualified technical staff

AuA has recruited significant staff capacities to ensure smooth management of the project. key administrative, technical exploration expert, policy and planning, HR and Admin Coordinator, procurement specialist positions have been place. AUA is the process of recruitment of international positions to support with operations management and quality control requirement of the project. However, AuA is struggling few challenges with regards to identifying most qualified staff due to current market demand that attracts qualified team by international organizations with a comparatively competitive salary payment

Adaptation Financial Management Systems

AUA understands the significance of adhering to the requirements of its funders and stakeholders. As part of the ongoing efforts, a dedicated team are assigned to assess requirements develop financial management systems that are fully compliant with the funder's requirements. This includes implementing robust accounting practices, internal controls, and reporting mechanisms to ensure transparent financial management throughout the project's lifecycle.

Procurement Plan with Partner Engagement and Transparency

AUA recognizes the importance of engaging partners and ensuring transparency in the procurement process. A comprehensive procurement plan is being developed, outlining the procurement procedures, vendor selection criteria, and evaluation processes. The plan will emphasize fair and competitive bidding processes, allowing potential partners to participate and demonstrate their capabilities. Transparency will be maintained throughout the procurement activities, engaging the partners ensuring accountability and integrity in the selection and contracting of suppliers and service providers.

Exploration Study

Alafalah ul Alami (AUA) recognizes the importance of ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials for cement production. To achieve this, discussions are underway with reputable vendors to outsource an exploration study. This study will involve conducting geological surveys, analyzing mineral deposits, and assessing the feasibility of extracting raw materials from nearby sources. By outsourcing this task to experts in the field, AUA aims to gather accurate data and make informed decisions regarding the sourcing and sustainability of raw materials.

Construction and Equipment Procurement

Construction activities will commence, including site preparation, foundation works, and the erection of the cement production facilities. Equipment procurement will also be initiated to ensure the factory is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery for efficient and sustainable cement production.

Workforce Recruitment and Training

As production stage kick off, skilled workforce will be recruited to operate the cement factory effectively. This will involve engaging both qualified national and international capacities as deemed necessary. The current structure has been worked that requires further discussion and revisitation considering the exploration study’s results.

Sustainability Initiatives

During the construction phase, efforts will be made to minimize the environmental footprint, such as using renewable energy sources, implementing water conservation measures, and reducing waste generation. The factory will also prioritize social responsibility by engaging with local communities and supporting local development initiatives.
