Mining Exploration Activities Initiated by Alfalah ul Alami (AUA) Company

AUA Company, in collaboration with Qatar and Afghan companies, has invested in constructing a new cement factory in Jabal Saraj. A formal contract for this project was previously signed with the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum during an official ceremony.

AUA Company recently recruited a team of young Afghan geologists through a competitive examination. These talented professionals are now at the forefront of mineral exploration in the Jabal Saraj mining area.

It is expected that the discovery of mines and the findings of the technical team of AUA Company will provide high-quality and sufficient raw materials for the cement factory, thereby accelerating the construction process of the factory.

Engineer Mohammad Shoaib Shehzad, who is responsible for the mining exploration department at AUA Company, described the commencement of the exploration work as a significant step. He stated: "According to previous studies conducted by the Ministry of Mines and international institutions in Jabal Saraj, there are mineral materials that are conducive to cement production in the area. AUA to ensure greater accuracy, is conducting the exploration with its technical teams."

Engineer Kamal Sadat, one of the newly hired geologists at AUA expressed gratitude for the company providing working conditions that align with their profession. He added: "There is no need for our country’s professionals to migrate and leave Afghanistan. We are working day and night to build our country so that our future generations can live in comfort and prosperity."

Additionally, Qari Abdul Ghafoor, a resident of Jabal Saraj district, stated: "We are pleased that the exploration work for the new factory in Jabal Saraj has started. It provides working opportunities for our youth, and with the establishment of the factory, cement imports to our country will decrease."

AUA Company plans to invest 220 million US dollars to establish the new cement production factory in Jabal Saraj, which is expected to have a production capacity of five thousand tons of cement per day.
