Job Summary
The Contract Management Officer is responsible for drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts for the company. This role ensures all contracts comply with legal and organizational standards while supporting project delivery and risk mitigation in both central and field operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalize contracts for goods, services, and works.
- Maintain contract templates and ensure standardization.
- Ensure contracts are compliant with national laws and internal regulations.
- Maintain a contract tracking system for timelines and obligations.
- Support departments in interpreting contract terms and conditions.
- Monitor vendor and contractor compliance with contract terms.
- Prepare reports on contract performance and issues.
- Coordinate with legal advisors for high-value or complex contracts.
- Manage contract amendments, extensions, and closures.
- File and archive all contracts in both soft and hard formats.
- Identify contract-related risks and propose mitigation measures.
- Conduct contract close-out processes.
- Provide training to staff on contract procedures.
- Support field offices with contract drafting and compliance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in contract management.
- Strong understanding of local legal frameworks and contracting rules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
- Ability to handle multiple contracts simultaneously.
