Job Summary
AUA is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Architectural Engineer. The Architectural Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and related structures in compliance with architectural standards, building codes, and safety regulations. The role includes analyzing site conditions, preparing and reviewing construction drawings and specifications, performing technical calculations, and ensuring structural integrity through material testing and system evaluation. The incumbent provides expert guidance during project design and implementation, develops creative engineering solutions, and manages projects from concept to completion to ensure functionality, efficiency, and aesthetic quality of architectural designs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure all designs meet building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Analyze building site specifications and constraints to develop efficient designs.
- Review and approve construction plans and give guidance on installation and operation of building systems.
- Perform detailed analysis and testing of building materials and systems to ensure structural integrity.
- Identifying and solving problems in building plans, prototypes, and structures.
- Manage projects from initial planning to completion
- Develop creative solutions to construction, architectural, or engineering problems
- Make technical recommendations related to construction, architectural, or engineering projects
- Prepare and interpret construction documents, including drawings and specifications
- Perform calculations related to construction, architectural, or engineering projects
- Review technical work products and prepare drafts of technical documents
- Grant Access in architectural design of administration, industrial buildings and landscape
- Develop specifications for construction, architectural, or engineering projects
Job Requirements
EDUCATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering or a related field. (master’s degree is preferred)
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in architectural design of construction projects (preferred in industrial projects)
SKILLS and ABILIITES:
- Proven work experience as an Architectural Engineer in a reputed architectural firm or in the Engineering industry.
- Complete knowledge of the building codes, safety standards, industry trends, and regulations.
- Familiarity with CAD software like SketchUp, Revit, 3D max, AutoCAD, etc.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent knowledge of both written and spoken English. Must be able to write reports in English. Proficiency in Dari or Pashtu is required.
