Job Summary

 

This is a senior position role that responsible for the comprehensive oversight of project controls, commercial management, and on-site execution for large-scale industrial or EPC projects (e.g., cement/power plants). This position acts as a key deputy to the Project Manager, with direct authority over project engineers, schedules, costs, and contracts.

 

 

 

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Support project manager or his designee in  pre-contract activities, including BOQ preparation, tender evaluation, and contract award support.
  • Develop, monitor, and control Level 3 & Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Draft fundamental project management systems based on project needs and present them to the company for approval.
  • Provide guidance and performance evaluations for project team members. Recommend the appointment or dismissal of project management personnel to the company.
  • Review and report contractor progress payments, variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Supervise directly all project engineers across project construction phase.
  • Conduct schedule risk analysis and delay mitigation strategies to ensure on-time project delivery.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align cost, schedule, and resource planning.
  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly cost & project progress reports to project manager or senior management.
  • Coordinate and communicate with international teams, consultants, and the design team to resolve technical, commercial, and planning issues.
  • Oversee and manage overall project safety, quality, schedule.
  • Convene and chair project meetings in absence of project manager or his designee.
  • Within the validity period specified in the construction contract, participate in on-site quantity surveys and review economic claims/variations, assessing their validity and providing approval comments if any.
  • Review contractors' final account documentation, ensuring compliance.
  • Any other tasks assigned by direct supervisor or his designee.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

1.     EDUCATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field, with 10+ years of experience in project controls and commercial management.

2.     WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction management preferably cement plants, power plants, or large industrial/EPC projects.

3.     SKILLS and ABILIITES:

  • Mandatory expertise in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills for cost analysis and cash flow forecasting.
  • Strong experience in claims management, variation evaluation, contract administration, and commercial risk control.
